I had a really strange experience earlier this week. I came home from running, fed the baby, put him back in his bed and was standing in his doorway. Next thing I know I am lying on the floor, in pain, with blood pouring from a gash in my forehead. Apparently I passed out and hit my head on the corner of the crib. After a trip to the emergency room, a cat scan, an ECG, stitches, and two IV bags of fl
uid, they sent me home, saying I must just have been dehydrated. I am left with a black eye, and some lovely traintrack stitches that will probably leave a scar. Sigh. Such wounds can be badges of honor if one acquires them in a respectable way, saving the world comes to mind. It is really annoying to tell people that I got my battle wounds just standing still.
