A couple of days ago Joel was "helping" me clean up after dinner. I was doing the dishes and turned around just in time to watch him do this:

He'd climbed onto a chair to be able to reach the table and fished two leftover croutons out of the remains of our Caesar salad. Then he trotted across the kitchen and carefully placed one each in the pre-wash and main-wash compartments of the dishwasher. I don't know why this struck me as so funny, but I couldn't stop giggling.

Yea for the happy moments. I sometimes wonder if kids think they're being clever when they do these things, or if they're just working.
Croutons are so much more exciting than boring old dishwater liquid, didn't you know?
Mmmm...... YUMMY.
